VEGETABLE CLASSES

Class / Description

  1. 3 Coloured Potatoes – washed
  2. 3 White Potatoes – washed
  3. 3 Beetroot with foliage trimmed to 3”
  4. 3 Carrots Long pointed with tops trimmed to 3”
  5. 3 Carrots Stump rooted with tops trimmed to 3”
  6. 2 Turnips with foliage trimmed to 3”
  7. 2 Parsnips with foliage trimmed to 3”
  8. 2 Swede with foliage trimmed to 3”
  9. 6 Broad Beans with stalks
  10. 6 French Beans with stalks
  11. 6 Runner Beans with stalks
  12. 6 Pods of Peas with stalks
  13. 1 Green Cabbage with roots washed – Summer variety
  14. 1 Cauliflower with roots washed, top trimmed to curd
  15. 1 Lettuce with roots washed
  16. *** 3 Onions from seed or plants, dressed, any weight
  17. *** 3 Onions from sets, dressed, any weight
  18. ** 6 Shallots for pickling not exceeding 1” in diameter
  19. ** 6 Shallots larger than 1” in diameter
  20. 6 Tomatoes with stalks
  21. 1 Cucumber with stalk
  22.   1 Marrow culinary with stalk
  23. 3 Blanched Leeks with roots washed, tops trimmed
  24. 2 of any other variety of vegetable

TOP TRAY

  1.  Any three vegetables as per Top Tray Rules

FRUIT

  1. 5 Sticks of Rhubarb
  2. 15 Blackberries with stalks
  3. 10 Gooseberries with stalks
  4. 15 Raspberries with stalks
  5. Dish of Red or Black Currants but not mixed

FLOWERS

  1.  Vase of Mixed Sweet Peas
  2.  Vase of One Colour Sweet Peas (not two tone)
  3.  Vase of Mixed Variety Blooms grown outdoors
  4.  Vase of One Variety Flowers
  5. 3 Dahlias Decorative
  6. 3 Dahlias Cactus
  7. 3 Dahlias Ball or Pom Pom but not mixed
  8. 3 Gladioli
  9. 1 Gladioli
  10. 1 Single Rose – Hybrid Tea
  11. 3 Single Roses – Hybrid Tea
  12. 1 Pot Plant Flowering
  13. 3 Chrysanthemums incurve
  14. 3 Chrysanthemums reflex

Vases For Flowers Will Be Supplied

HOME PRODUCE

CHILDRENS CLASSES

  1. One Novelty vegetable
  2. One Vase of Flowers
  3. Pot Plant of any variety grown by the child
  4. One Decorated Cake (cake need not be made by entrant)
